IDCI....Ken Robinson's talk about creativity and schools...

I thought it was interesting, it made sense. I agree that children loose their ability to be creative in school. Its hard to be creative in class, especially when your younger, with all these new rules, and guidelines, the teachers tell you how to do your work, instead of letting them just do it and express themselves, especially in art (music, painting, writing, etc...). So many things are spoonfed to the kids, and they dont really get a chance to try it their way, so they eventually give in and do the work the way the teacher wants them to. Somtimes thats ok, like in math, but its not really constructive for subjects like music, art, and english. At least, thats what I think.
